Allergy and Hayfever tips

Hayfever is an allergic reaction to pollen, pollutants and dust mites in the air, it affects 15% to 20% of the population in Britain and it is on the increase. This is a problem in many countries, but the non-sufferers regard it as unimportant. For sufferers it varies from minor irritation to severe incapacity, you may be unable to work or drive. School and exam performances are worse in young people with untreated hayfever, unfortunately for students exams usually take place at the peak of the hayfever season.

A few simple steps to a better life
Allergen avoidance would be a great way of defeating hayfever if it wasn’t practically impossible to do while enjoying a normal life! However, by taking Nasaleze and following the simple steps below you should be able to cut down your suffering:

Do not sleep with the windows open
Do not drive you car with the windows open
Get your non suffering partner to cut the grass for you!
Wear sun glasses to help protect your eyes from pollen.
Take a shower once you come in from outdoors to wash the pollen out of your hair and skin.

If it is dust mites rather than pollen that are the problem you may find the following tips of use:

Wash your bedding weekly on a hot temperature
Install hard-surface flooring (e.g. stone, wood or tile) wherever possible, it is easier to remove dust from hard surfaces. Also, do not carpet high-humidity areas such as kitchens and bathrooms - doing so creates a breeding ground for dust mites.
Get cleaning! Vacuum frequently and thoroughly in areas where you spend most of your time e.g. rugs in the lounge, carpet in the bedroom etc.
Go leather! Cloth upholstered sofas are much more mite friendly than leather.
Take a shower once you come in from outdoors to wash the pollen out of your hair and skin.

Unfortunately if it is pet dander that is the problem then it is more difficult to solve because the only real solution is to find a new home for the animal. However, keeping the animal out of the bedroom and lounge, regular vacuuming and regular bathing of the animal will all help.
